Did we really need to know? What was the harm of having a Fake Steve Jobs? Nobody mistook FSJ posts as coming from Steve Jobs, you know, especially with the Fake in front of the Steve Jobs part.
‘Fake Steve’ Blogger Comes Clean:
An editor at Forbes has been lampooning Steven P. Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, on a popular blog, “Fake Steve.”
... Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Daniel Lyons, a senior editor at Forbes magazine who lives near Boston, has been quietly enjoying the attention.“I’m stunned that it’s taken this long,” said Mr. Lyons, 46, when a reporter interrupted his vacation in Maine on Sunday to ask him about Fake Steve. “I have not been that good at keeping it a secret. I’ve been sort of waiting for this call for months.”
Oh well, I hope FSJ continues the blog, and sounds like Forbes is going to host it. Won't probably be quite as pointed in its critiques, a shame.
As for Mr. Jobs himself — the real one — he did not seem all that interested when told the identity of his online doppelganger. He said in an instant message conversation that he had no interest in reading Mr. Lyons’s novel.
