Looks as if I sold another photo to the astute folks at St. Martin’s Press for use as a book jacket photo illustration1.
I’m not positive about all the details yet, but I think this is the book: Through the Cracks, by Barbara Fister
More details as I get them2…
The photo is of a viaduct on 24th Street between Canal and Stewart, heading towards our Chinese herbalist.
Footnotes:- earlier this year I sold a photo for Luck of the Draw [

Yes, that’s the book. The story is set in Chicago and when I was asked for cover ideas I found your photo on Flickr. I was happy, happy, happy when they actually used it. Most crime fiction set in Chicago has a generic loop image on the cover. Ooh, look, we’re in Chicago, see? The Chicago I’m interested in is out of the loop. Like putting Manhattan on the cover of a book set in Queens.
Thanks for the great photo and I would love to sell lots of the book if it helps you out, but … ah, that probably won’t happen, sorry. At least it will go into the world well dressed.
